The construction team used a milling machine to remove old asphalt and rebuild the roadway at the U.S. 98/331 intersection.

A rolling machine was used to compact the soil in preparation for placing asphalt on the U.S. 98 westbound right turn lane onto U.S. 331 northbound.

Paving crews place the last lift of structural asphalt on the new U.S. 331 northbound lanes just north of Sherriff’s Drive. Before the project is completed, paving crews will lay the final layer of friction course.

A new sidewalk now parallels U.S. 331. It will allow for pedestrian traffic in the area.

Construction crews extended the box culvert, or drainage structure, that crosses beneath U.S. 331 just south of North Greenway Trail.

Concrete curbs are constructed using a special machine that saves time and money.

Workers place sod along the east side of the highway to help prevent erosion.

After constructing the concrete curb along the new roadway, workers ensure that it is level.

Large diameter drainage pipes and structures have been installed alongside U.S. 331 improving drainage in the area.
