A rolling machine was used to compact the soil in preparation for placing asphalt on the U.S. 98 westbound right turn lane onto U.S. 331 northbound.

Paving crews place the last lift of structural asphalt on the new U.S. 331 northbound lanes just north of Sherriff’s Drive. Before the project is completed, paving crews will lay the final layer of friction course.
